A misty day's Plane Spotting at Frankfurt Airport, FRA | RW18 Spool ups & RW25C Rotations

Well the weather certainly wasn't in my favour in my visit to Frankfurt. I waited an hour before heading out to the spotting area in hopes of the low cloud lifting, but not a chance. Anyway I arrived at the spotters platform near Runway 18 around half 11 in the morning and stayed for about 4 and a half hours, within that duration I managed to snap a tonne of movements! Frankfurt is currently one of the busiest airports in Europe, only being beaten by Istanbul and Amsterdam. It certainly felt lively too with constant non stop action

Unfortunately due to the location of this spotting area it was not possible to film all rotations unless I was using a high stepladder or perhaps a very tall tripod. Fortunately though I was also able to see rotations from the center and left runways, which made up for that loss on Runway 18. As you can imagine such poor visibility made filming quite a challenge too, it was a struggle to get the camera to focus on planes taking off from such a distance but nevertheless I managed and think the video came out pretty well if I do say so myself

One thing which was great to see was the abundance of 747's present at Frankfurt. On this single visit I filmed 11 Jumbo's. One of which, although at quite a distance, was a 747-200 arriving from Georgia. Impressive to say the least. It was also nice to see an abundance of A340-300's too, another aircraft not too common these days

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video. I shall be returning to Frankfurt again in November so I hopefully will be able to get a less murky video and improve on my failures during this visit.
