FIESA 2011 - 9th International Sand Sculpture Festival - www.prosandart.com

The theme of the 9th edition of FIESA, was Animal Kingdom. The world of Men was caricatured through the animals, which assumed human roles, satirizing several aspects of our society.
The sculpted pieces showed animals playing music instruments, dancing, painting, reading, riding a motorbike and eating and drinking like humans, in a parody to our behaviours. The roles were reversed, dogs walked humans and donkeys were seated in carts.
Other sculptures depicted animals based on comic strips, animation films and timeless fables, extending the humorous tone of the exhibit to the younger public.
