Online Talk: Flavours that have been forgotten, with Eko Saputra and Rafael Gonçalves

For this session in collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History and Science (MUHNAC) of Portugal, we invite artist Eko Saputra and exhibition designer & developer Rafael Gonçalves to present their work conducted for the upcoming PdBA Lisboa online exhibition, Flavours that have been forgotten.
Through this commissioned work, Eko Saputra reflects on the Portuguese colonial past in Indonesia and on its present reverberations. Within his process, the artist worked with different materials, from found postcards to 3D enhanced assets from MUHNAC’s botanical and insect collections. In collaboration with the artists and the PdBA curator, Rafael Gonçalves bridges those processes to the digital exhibition space through his expertise in experimental and interactive design.
