During his visit to Bhubaneswar, ISRO Chairman Dr. V. Narayanan made significant announcements regarding India’s upcoming space missions. He revealed that Chandrayaan-4 aims to bring back lunar soil to India, while Chandrayaan-5 will explore the moon’s surface for 100 days. Preparations for the Gaganyaan human spaceflight mission are also progressing on a fast track. Plans for India’s own space station were also shared.

He emphasised that Odisha has made vital contributions year after year to ISRO’s space programmes. Dr. Narayanan made these remarks during his visit to the Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) in Bhubaneswar.

The ISRO chief’s comments shed light on India’s expanding space ambitions and the important, often understated, role Odisha plays in these scientific endeavours.
