At UFC 272, Rafael dos Anjos was scheduled to fight Rafael Fiziev. Fiziev, however, contracted Covid and is out of the bout. On a week's notice, RDA nearly fought Islam Makhachev at welterweight, but instead ended up with former featherweight contender Renato Moicano. As far as short notice substitutions go, they don't come much better. Moreover, the strength of schedule for dos Anjos is without parallel.
