The Manchester Terrier miniature or Toy Manchester Terrier is a breed created to satisfy the demands of high society women during the Victorian era in the United States. Product of crossbreeding and controlled breeding among the Manchester Terrier smaller dogs, this breed was known first as Toy Black and was very popular in the 1920s, but was ten years after that it was given his actual name, Toy Manchester Terrier.

The Manchester Terrier has a powerful and muscular body, and is very agile. This is why they’re highly competent in killing rodents. The Toy version can weigh less than 6 to 8 pounds and measure between 10 to 12 inches. In general, his body is usually smooth, compact and muscular, with a thick and dense coat, but also bright and smooth. The most common colors that we can see in this breed are blue and brown, black and brown, blue, black and sometimes in tan. Also, they have a long tail, ears that remain erect and an always alert and vigilant expression.
Grooming: the Manchester is a type of dog that you can clean very easily. An occasional bath with a shampoo formulated for dogs is enough to keep it clean.
