Amid multiple crises, a divided nation
On October 19, Governance Studies at Brookings and PRRI hosted the release of PRRI’s eleventh annual American Values Survey (AVS). A panel of experts discussed the survey results and what they reveal about Americans’ attitudes toward a variety of issues that are sure to shape the outcome of this presidential election. The survey also highlights the impact of media consumption on attitudes, long-term trends in partisan and religious affiliation, and how these changes have produced two starkly contrasting visions for the nation.
