Looming debt crisis for renters & landlords on City Inside/Out

Seattle and Washington state have both extended their eviction moratoriums till June, giving lawmakers more time to handle a looming rental debt crisis of over $1 billion. The eviction ban has helped thousands of families during the COVID-19 pandemic but has also taken a toll on landlords who do not know if those bills will ever be paid. We discuss pending legislation and consider a public health perspective.
