Middle-income workers could be hardest-hit amid demographic, technological changes: MAS
Singapore's economy is set to improve in the second half of next year. A biannual report by the central bank said full-year GDP should come in close to what it calls the "potential rate". MAS also expects the global economy to grow at a slower pace of 2.8% in 2024, compared to 3.1% this year. Overall pay growth is also expected to ease in 2024. MAS has warned middle-income workers could be the hardest-hit, even as they saw the fastest salary growth in the past decade.
