Jacks of Malpelo by Annie Crawley Epic Ocean Minutes 4K

These jacks were filmed diving at D'artagnan dive site, one of the islets at Malpelo, 300 miles off the coast of Colombia. Jacob Griffiths and Erika Lopez created Biodiversity Conservation Colombia to protect the Sanctuary of Fauna and Flora Malpelo Colombia a World Heritage Site and an important part of the Eastern Tropical Pacific Marine Corridor (CMAR) from illegal fishing and shark finning. BCC, a unique organization partners with ecotourism, the national parks, and the navy. This unique relationship works and promotes four pillars working together for the health of our ocean. The four pillars include the Ferox Liveaboard from Colombia Dive Adventures, Parques Nacionales Naturales (Colombian National Parks), and the Armada Nacional de la Republica de Colombia (Colombian Navy).

We will be posting more videos part of the current film project with a working title, Guardians of Malpelo, to raise awareness about the impact of industrialized fishing and illegal shark fishing in this region of the world. About Annie Crawley:
Annie Crawley has worked around the world with cameras in hand, mostly below the surface of our ocean. Born and raised in Chicago, she fell in love with water swimming in our Great Lakes as she did not see the ocean until after graduating from the University of Illinois. After she learned to scuba dive, she took a calculated risk and sold her car to purchase her first underwater camera systems. As an underwater explorer, she was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2010, earned her Master of Communications at University of Washington, and is a member of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps trained by Al Gore. She now calls Edmonds, WA home. She has created a series of illustrated books and programs to entertain, educate and awe people about life within our ocean.

Annie launched Dive Into Your Imagination to create a community to educate and entertain all ages while connecting them to our environment. She travels with a dive team who explore the sea while scuba diving and documenting their experiences. As a master storyteller, she runs programs teaching the art of photography, video, and workshops.
