Viltrox 35mm f/1.8 AF Full Frame lens 4K Video Test (Shot it on A7IV in Sydney)
It has been 5 to 6 years, I finally get to come back to Sydney to do my review. And this time I was able to test out the brand new Viltrox 35mm f/1.8 AF full frame lens for Sony e mount. If I’m not wrong, I think Viltrox is the only Chinese brand does auto focus lenses. From the photo side, it is spot on. And the video side also not bad at all. Only when you shoot in f/1.8 maybe the AF is a bit slow. Once you have stopped down to f/2.8. It works really well.

During my test in Sydney, the lens is extremely sharp even at wide open. The only thing I would say is the vignetting. When shooting at f/1.8. The vignetting is very noticeable. But as soon as you stop it down to f/2.8. The vignetting will be gone. But the its price. I think this lens is phenomenally. And I highly recommend this lens for begininer or if you in a budget. Because for the price, you can’t go wrong with this lens.
