Labor may consider 'possible early election' following budget
Headline Advisory Director Andrew Carswell says the door has been opened to a "possible early election" by the numbers Jim Chalmers put forward in the budget.
“It’s not their intent and wouldn’t be their first choice to do that – they will want to go to a full term, they’ll want to deliver a mini-budget in March and then go to an election in May," he told Sky News host Sharri Markson.
“But you always go when the numbers say to go and if the numbers are good in December … then they’ll be wanting to keep that option open.”
