Controlled Mokume Gane Polymer Clay Tutorial by Nee Nee Ree

Beginner polymer clay tutorial demonstrating the mokume gane technique resulting in a polymer clay veneer that can be made into jewelry pieces, used to cover pens or containers, or whatever other great use you can come up with! In this video, pieces of the veneer are used to make earrings and a necklace, but the intent of the video is to show how to make the veneer.

Materials and Tools used:

For the veneer:

1/2 block Premo Pearl
1/4 block Premo Wasabi
1/4 block Alizarine Crimson
3/4 block Souffle Turnip

Glass or ceramic tile work surface
Pasta machine
Blade
Acrylic roller
Texture sheet (or rubber stamps or Kor tools)
Rough texture sheet for backs
Patty Wax Paper
Burnishing tool (Bone folder or other)
Shape cutters and/or templates

For the earrings and necklace:

5 jump rings
2 ear wires
Chain

Xacto knife
Metal dome for baking
Hand drill
Pliers
