Side channel blower of working principle
The impeller is directly mounted on the motor shaft to achieve contactless compression. By placing bearings outside the compression chamber, maximum operational reliability and service life can be ensured even under high differential pressure. The gas is drawn in through the intake muffler. When the gas enters the side channel, the rotating impeller gives the gas the speed along the rotating direction. The centrifugal force in the impeller blade accelerates the gas outward and increases the pressure. Each rotation increases kinetic energy, resulting in a further increase in pressure along the side channel. The side channel is narrowed at the rotor, the gas is removed from the impeller blade and then discharged through the muffler.
