Culture Connection: Hispanic Heritage: An Evening with Award-Winning Author Manuel Muñoz
QPL’s Culture Connection is excited to host an evening with Manuel Muñoz for #HispanicHeritageMonth.
Muñoz is the author of two previous collections of short stories, “Zigzagger” and “The Faith Healer of Olive Avenue,” and the novel “What You See in the Dark.” He has been recognized with the 2023 Joyce Carol Oates Prize, a Whiting Writer’s Award, three O. Henry Awards, and two appearances in Best American Short Stories. His third collection, “The Consequences,” was longlisted for the Story Prize. His frequently anthologized work has appeared in The New York Times, Virginia Quarterly Review, American Short Fiction, and many other publications.
In October 2023, Manuel Muñoz received a John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowship: https://www.macfound.org/fellows/class-of-2023/manuel-munoz
