A lot of people do not know where to begin when it comes to deeper analysis of sports which is what you need to be able to do in order to have a chance to be successful at betting on sports. Microsoft Excel is a great program for beginners and advanced analysts alike to be able to crunch numbers and deeply analyze the stats.

This video series is about teaching people how to analyze sports with Excel from the ground up. This first video is a true 101 beginner level video teaching two important concepts of Excel - IF/ELSE statements and Loops. The IF statements can be done in Excel Functions or in Macros and we teach the concept of loops for Macros. You will need to learn how to do macros in order to really get the most out of your analysis.

While the sport I am using for this series is NBA the purpose of this video isn't so much as how to analyze basketball as it is teaching the concepts of how to use Excel at a more advanced level for analyzing sports.
