Plastic Bag Sleeping Mat Tutorial

Here is a tutorial on how to make sleeping mattresses out of recycled plastic bags.

Hi everyone! My name is Trisha Sindhu, a senior at West-Windsor Plainsboro High School North. This project started as my Girl Scout Gold Award, but has now turned into something bigger. I have received an overwhelming amount of help and people who want to get involved, so I decided to make a tutorial for those who want to take on this project. It may appear to be a difficult process, but once you get the hang of it, it really is simple. I am using a size Q17 crochet hook (15.75 mm), also please make sure you are using RECYCLED plastic bags to complete the mat, as that it the whole effort of the project. If you do complete a mat, please try to donate it to HomeFront (nonprofit that works to fight homelessness in New Jersey).
