Treatment of Neuropathic Pain - American Academy of Neurology

Neuropathic pain, which can be debilitating, is thought to impact 20 million Americans. With varying etiologies, associated symptoms, and comorbidities, the treatment of chronic neuropathic pain requires a personalized, multimodal approach. In this video, we aim to inform the viewer about pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic approaches towards treatment of chronic neuropathic pain. Therapeutic modalities are reviewed based on a patient’s comorbidities, which may be helpful as you discuss treatment options with your patient and their support network.
