Tyne & Wear Metro (Green line) - Airport to South Hylton

This two part drivers eye view will show us the entire Tyne & Wear Metro system. There are two lines simply known as the Green and Yellow lines. We start with the Green line running from the Airport to South Hylton in Sunderland.

The line joins with the Yellow line at South Gosforth and this intensive service runs under the streets of Newcastle to Pelaw.

From here trains share trains with Network Rail trains through Sunderland all the way out to South Hylton. The drivers eye view is show in virtual reality and has a fasinating history, even before the metro began running in the 1980s.
