Key Date Silver WWII Nickel Found Coin Hunting A $200 Bag From The Bank

With 869,896,100 total war nickels minted, the 1943 D is the lowest minted of all with only 15,294,000 made, putting this year and mint mark (1943 D) at only 1.75% of the total war nickel population. 1942-1945 nickels were the only time the mint changed their composition to 35% silver content to help support the war effort and they placed a large mint mark on the reverse above the Monticello to differentiate these coins. These silver nickels melt for about $1.70 at current silver prices and we found this coin live on 1/25/2025 hunting through a $200 bank bag of nickels. Happy coin roll hunting to you all!
