Railway Signals Explained PART 28: Departure signal: Amersfoort Vathorst - Amsterdam SNG 15 jan 2022

Railway Signals Explained PART

In the series "Railway Signals Explained" I highlight one signal that we encounter along a train ride through the Netherlands. In the playlist "Dutch Railway Signals Explained" you can eventually find all signals. If you want to follow this series, subscribe! Today part 28: the Departure Signal Light or simply Departure Signal. At 32:10 you can see that this signal lights up. The definition is "Permission to start the departure procedure.". The signal is intended for the conductor and is for him the sign that the light signal that applies to the driver is not showing "stop". When it is almost departure time, the conductor will whistle and close the doors. The light will not turn on when the signals shows red or flashing yellow. Don't forget to watch the rest of the movie. Who will be the first to see the white heron standing in the ditch next to the track? And the fox crossing the tracks? Enjoy watching!
