A narcotics seizure in South Tripura’s Belonia has exposed a troubling shift in drug trafficking patterns, with investigators indicating that traffickers are increasingly using minors to evade police scrutiny.

In an operation based on specific intelligence, Police personnel from Belonia Station intercepted an autorickshaw in the NSC Nagar area and recovered dry cannabis packed in two sacks.
While the driver abandoned the vehicle and managed to escape, a 15-year-old boy found inside the vehicle was detained, providing investigators with crucial leads.
