3 Jason Becker Licks From 1989

Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Jason Becker Licks From 1989. The legacy surrounding Jason Becker is massive and I've had numerous requests to feature some of his ideas/music on the channel, so I figured it was finally time to give Jason's brilliant talent some attention.

The ideas in this lesson came from a guitar clinic/performance in Japan in 1989 and capture Jason at his fiery best. This also reveals a little of his educational nature, as he's breaking down licks and phrases from some of his music and showing the audience how he struts his stuff. From his personal sweeping picking technique preferences to various mind-boggling licks and ideas. Needless to say, if you're looking for some intense finger-twisting shred mechanics - Jason's THE man!

The ideas in this lesson include a unique Am11 arpeggio fingering that we're moving and relocating around the fretboard to create variations, before moving into a wide-intervallic Am11 arpeggio version of this tonality, a classically influenced extended arpeggio workout, and much more!

If you're a fan of Jason's music and fretboard heroics you'll find plenty to sink your teeth into hiding in this lesson. All of these ideas are advanced and not for the faint of heart - so go slow, take your time, and give yourself a little breathing room when working through these shredtastic ideas!
