Parent speaks out against woman accused of posing as nurse, dosing kids insulin

A parent of a child with Type 1 diabetes is raising concerns about a reported plea deal for Crystal Scott, a woman accused of posing as a nurse, forging documents and administering insulin without proper qualification.

Scott is charged with child abuse, furnishing dangerous drugs to minors and forgery. She also is accused of lacking proper credentials or training.

“It does not sound like she is going to get very many consequences,” said a parent of an alleged victim, who said she is worried about the safety of her diabetic child and other children across the valley amid concerns Scott could “get off with a slap on the wrist” after facing dozens of felony charges.
