Muscovys Hatching

Our lovely ladies Mama Muscovy and Figgy are sharing a nest and have been sitting on eggs since the beginning of August. Today, September 3, their duckling began to hatch. We made this video by simply placing the video camera on the ground near them (we didn't want to disturb them). One duckling has already hatched and it looks like another egg is zipping. If you watch closely you can glimpse the duckling and see an egg with a whole and movement inside. We are very excited as these are our first hatchlings!
