Israeli forces encircle Khan Younis after twenty-four killed in deadliest day for IDF

As Israeli forces conduct operations in Khan Younis, the IDF reports that reservists from Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade concluded offensive and defensive actions on the outskirts of the southern Gaza city.

The 630th Reserve Battalion, with combat engineers, targeted and eliminated Hamas "attack tunnel" shafts and underground infrastructure in northern Khan Younis.

Simultaneously, reservists of the 261st Brigade worked on destroying Hamas infrastructure in the border area. During the operation, Hamas fired RPGs at troops, hitting a tank and triggering mines that destroyed two buildings, resulting in the tragic death of 24 soldiers.

This incident marked the deadliest event during the IDF’s ground offensive in Gaza.
