Speed control 3 phase induction motor by stator voltage control method

This video describes the methods of speed control of 3 phase induction motor.Stator voltage control method uses autotransformer as variable voltage source to the stator.At the beginning supply frequency and rotor induced emf frequency are same, so rotor emf is directly proportion to applied to stator.Torque is proportional to the square of the applied voltage to the stator.With the load connected to the motor, intersection point of load with torque speed characteristic gives the rotor speed. With reduced voltage speed of rotor reduces as shown in figure.
