Hamas senior leader says there were no plans to target civilians in Israeli attack | 7.30

About 200 Israeli hostages remain in Gaza after they were abducted by Hamas militants and amongst them are women, children and babies.

The terrorist group has urged civilians in northern Gaza to resist an evacuation order issued by Israel as it prepares to launch a full-scale attack to root out the militants.

Dr Basem Naim is Hamas's head of international relations and a former Health Minister.
