NYC Subway HD 60fps: Riding First Alstom R160A W Train (Bay Parkway to Astoria) Full Line (11/7/16)

READ FIRST:
The W returns (http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/pdf/twcur.pdf). Here is the first train of the day; a put-in from Coney Island Yard that enters service at Bay Parkway @ 6:30 am (normally it would enter service at 86th @ 6:23a if not for long term construction along Sea Beach). The trailing 5-car set is ironically the first R160A set to arrive on property, if memory serves me correctly (8653-8657). We ride the train all the way up through Brooklyn, Manhattan, and to the northern terminus @ Astoria - Ditmars BLVD. The conductor is very friendly (we find him again on the 8:33a W out of Astoria to 86th) and the operator runs well. We top out @ 50 MPH in the 60th Street Tube. It is also interesting to note that the AAS program dates back to pre-2010, as it still has "Lawrence Street" instead of the updated "Jay Street - Metrotech" with the transfers to the A,C, & F. Enjoy the ride =)
