Athearn Genesis GP40-3 Illinois Central #3140, Part I: product review

In part I of this video review, the Athearn Genesis GP40-3 (nee, a GP50), is unboxed, reviewed, and programmed using JMRI. This is a new locomotive that was released on July 1, 2019. The prototype IC 3140 is a one-of-a-kind GP40-3 (only one was ever built by IC) was rebuilt from a wrecked CNW GP50.
