What’s the Best Controller for the Samsung Gear VR?

There are lots of gamepads and game controllers out there to choose from and and many are compatible with Android powered Samsung smart phones like the Galaxy S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+ and Note5 that work with the Gear VR (they each use Bluetooth to connect) but Oculus only officially supports the Samsung Wireless GamePad (Android) that costs $79.99 or the Moga Pro $79.99 or the SteelSeries $71.99.

I wasn’t able to test every controller out there but I did also connect my PlayStation 4 controller using Sixaxis app and unfortunately not all of the buttons worked. I had the same mixed results with the Moga and Steel Series gamepads but realized after posting this that the Moga will work if you click the switch at the base to "B" for profile B, I was using profile A. At the end of the day… my best experience was with the official Samsung controller even though I don’t love the joysticks because they slide instead of tilting like most analog sticks on newer designs (PS4 and XBox).
