Derek Mackie - Giving In Memory
Derek lost his wife Karen to a long fight against heart and lung problems. Derek wanted to do something really special in her memory.
"Karen will always be the love of my life. As soon as we met, that was it. I’d found the person I was meant to be with. We had the best life together.
"My precious wife closed her eyes for the last time on the 21st of November 2016, while she lay holding my hand, surrounded by family and friends.
"Since that day, life can be a struggle. But doing something positive for Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland has been a huge source of strength for us."
