==================================
Brìghde Chaimbeul is from Sleat on the Isle of Skye and is a native Gaelic speaker. She was presented with the The Horizon Award for best emerging act at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2019, she is also the Winner of the 2016 BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award, and 2017 Scots Trad Music Awards ‘Up and Coming’ nominee. Brìghde plays Scottish Smallpipes in a unique style. Her style is rooted in the indigenous culture and language , but draws inspiration from a variety of piping traditions including Eastern Europe, Ireland and Cape Breton. Scottish Smallpipes are distinguished from the Northumbrian smallpipes by having an open end to the chanter, and usually by the lack of keys. This means that the sound of the chanter is continuous, rather than staccato.

It is a personal record from my eye view-point, and it is raw and as it happens from the thick of it. Therefore it is not a Cecille DeMille production in HD with 5.1 surround sound. I also push myself to my personal limits and I feel if I stuck to rigid rules, my output would be boring. For example,being out of focus for a couple of seconds is all a part and parcel of things.
