While several of the lures feature names and looks of alternative forage, one should maintain the perspective that a fish doesn't necessarily associate the baits as some names imply (that's marketing for us humans). For example, while a bat is most certainly not on the menu, the Savage Gear 3D Bat has a great action for a topwater crawler bait. Conversely, anatomically correct and realistic trout-imitating lures are designed to fool bass by mimicking the real thing - matching preferred forage in looks and movement can be highly effective.
