California's Historic Roads - Highway S-2

A highway through a remote desert valley was once home to the first form of transcontinental transportation, the Stagecoach. Highway S-2 follows the old Southern Immigrant Trail by which most of the miners came to California during the Goldrush of 1849. The route was later called, erroneously, "The Great Overland Stage Route of 1849." A Nick Adolfo Production.
