With an empty weekend upon us, we conjured up the perfect overnight getaway to one of the most romantic and heartwarming cities of Europe, Bruges. When listing Europes most intimate settings, this little city in Belgium probably doesn't immediately come to mind - we are here to change that...

A brief stroll down these historic cobblestone streets is all it takes to feel the magic hidden within. When walking from the train station into the city center, you will cross quaint canals, with cheery boaters passing by. While it isn't absolutely necessary, we recommend using a map to explore the city - this can be found at the information desk beside the train station.

We most enjoyed the wholesome charm of the city. Some visitors complain that in recent years, this once undiscovered gem had been crowded with tourists, diminishing its romantic appeal. However, due to the current "situation", we found it to be lively without the constant drowning of this overtourism.
