🇺🇸 STRENGTHENING ALLIANCES: THE AFRICAN LION 26 LIVE-FIRE EXERCISE

U.S. Soldiers assigned to the 1st Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade, executed a combined arms live-fire exercise at Cap Draa, Morocco. The training focused on synchronizing maneuver forces, indirect fires, and autonomous systems under realistic combat conditions to validate modern warfare tactics.

As U.S. Africa Command's largest annual joint exercise, African Lion 26 involves over 5,600 personnel from more than 40 nations. Led by the U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), the exercise strengthens collective security capabilities across Ghana, Morocco, Senegal, and Tunisia, utilizing innovation to drive regional stability.
