En route to Balik Pulau for our durian feast, we decided to stay a night at Batu Ferringhi and pamper ourselves at Lone Pine, a luxury Boutique Hotel by The Beach.

➡️ Driving to Lone Pine Hotel
Lone Pine is situated along Batu Ferringhi, on Penang Island's Northern coast. It takes about 30 minutes to drive from the main city, George Town Penang.

➡️ Things we did at Lone Pine Hotel
1. Picnic by the Beach - We've booked the Picnic by the Beach RM99 (for 2 persons). It came with a full-course meal which we did not expect. There was so much food, it was literally our early dinner. The Picnic is available daily from 12:00 noon to 6:00pm, last call at 5:30pm.
2. Enjoy the Beach - After the picnic, we took a stroll along the beach where you'll find bars, restaurants, the famous Starbucks with the sunset view, a hawker center (Long Beach Cafe), and the Batu Ferringhi Night Market along the street.
3. Pool - The pool area has a number of lounge chairs to relax. The pool is heated and it has also a jacuzzi. You could even hear the sound of the waves while relaxing by the pool.

Room Type: Deluxe Suite Sea Facing Room (we got a free upgrade to a Deluxe Suite Sea Facing room, however we only paid for a Deluxe Sea Facing room)
- We paid a total of RM 538 / USD 115 for 1 night (including Breakfast for two and taxes).
- We booked directly through the official website 2-3 months ahead for a cheaper price, but you could also check other online booking platforms, such as Agoda and Booking.com to compare the best deals.
