Norwegian footballer Ada Hegerberg went from being at the pinnacle of her sport to sitting on the sidelines for nearly two years after rupturing her ACL. For the four-time Champions League winner and inaugural recipient of the women’s Ballon d’Or, it was a wake-up call for her to realize that she isn’t invincible. Despite her first major injury stealing her away from the game she loves, it also led Hegerberg on a transformative journey to personal growth and discovery.
