Originally opened in 1978 and based in Glossop, at the heart of the Peak District, Magic Mountain became an official factory store for major British outdoor brands such as Mountain Equipment and Sprayway.

The store re-launched in 2016, moving from its Glossop home to Beeston (just outside of Nottingham). Still focussed on bringing you a full range of outdoor clothing, equipment and accessories from some of the biggest names in the industry, now we’re not just an official factory store for Mountain Equipment, Sprayway and Ron Hill – we are also home to Trekmates, Bridgedale, Go Gas stoves as well as massive brands from around the world such as Obōz shoes & Boots, Altra running shoes, and Zempire tents. We’re excited to be able to kit you out for all of your outdoor needs, wherever your adventure takes you.

Flash forward to 2023, and an exciting new chapter for the Magic Mountain webstore. With sales and orders climbing we outgrew our premises in Nottingham, and have moved to being a web-only operation serviced by a dedicated warehouse.

This will mean better delivery times for all of our loyal fans, but unfortunately calls for us to say goodbye (and thankyou) to everyone in the Beeston community, those from further afield who made specific trips to the store, and everyone who has supported us.

Remember, we are still here with the same unbeatable combination of the best outdoor and running brands at, frankly, incredible prices.
