LEARNING TRICKS From Ski Patrol And Getting Stuck

With Cashy’s increased confidence she has been wanting to try more and more stuff on the mountain. On this particular day we were able to take a run with our good friend and “Mountain Doctor” as Cash calls him, Taylor.

Watching her joy and thirst for learning any and everything snowboarding is so cool. Not only does it reassure us that she truly loves this but it shows us just how fierce this little one is. Not only did she learn a fun new skill, that I am sure we will be practicing on every run now. But she also learned a valuable lesson of getting herself out of a not so fun situation. Getting stuck is an oh so common thing when you are venturing into the fluff or exploring. Making sure you trust in your abilities to get you unstuck is the most valuable lesson we can teach.

The best part is that she did it. She got herself unstuck all on her own and then went back into the fluff to make a turn. That right there shows her fight as well as resilience to continue to push for the things she wants. Once she was out of that she was back to speed, jumps and having fun.

Some people get upset that we laugh in the tough situations but here are our 2¢ on that

1. We have so been there. More times than we can count
2. Laughter helps you release stress which can help you calm down and work through it.
