I love this style of Soft Box Scatter Cushion With Invisible Zip. The simplicity of the boxed sides creates a smart contemporary style especially when contrasting colours or varying textures are used. Here the client wanted two similar tones of taupe in a Prestigious Textiles tweed effect weave and a luscious velvet. There were two pairs of scatter cushions in all; One with the weave front and back with velvet edge and one with the velvet front and back and weave around the edge. Because of the style there's nowhere to hide a standard zip so I have used invisible zips.

This video is a full start to finish tutorial and shows in detail how to cut, prepare and make up a cushion including adding an invisible zip. Sewing invisible zippers can be tricky but this method takes out some of the mystery and guides you to easily and neatly insert a completely hidden zip.
