Wandering into a mountain town with nothing but the shirt on his back, Afghanistan war veteran Liam Stillman grifts and gambles his way down a road to nowhere with minimal focus and no real destination. He soon crosses paths with a quirky waitress, Harper, who takes pity on him and offers him a place to stay while he gets back on his feet. Still suffering from PTSD and war flashbacks, Liam exhibits odd behavior that prompts Harper to secretly reach out to his old army buddy, Will Tally, in an attempt to comfort and counsel him. But unbeknownst to Harper, the two former best friends harbor a dark secret from their war days. When Will reluctantly agrees to come meet with Liam after years of mutual unresolved anger and resentment, the two are inevitably set on a collision course that can only end in tragedy.
