SPOILERS FOR GOODFELLAS!!
Hi guys! This time we're going to talk about Goodfellas (1990) and Martin Scorsese's strive for Realism and Expressive Stylization. I argue that by combining these two styles he manages to recreate the seduction of Henry Hill into the gangster life, and even manages to suck us in with him. It's a brilliant film, if you haven't seen it I would highly suggest you do so as soon as possible.
Also, probably a good follow up video would be the Nerdwriter's Wolf of Wallstreet: Cinema of Excess, as it builds on what I say in this video.
EDIT: It's actually not Fulvio Orsitto who came up with the term 'kinetic energy' but Kathleen Murphy!
