The Scythians — Lords of the Eurasian Steppe #shorts #history #archaeology

The Scythians were nomadic horsemen who dominated the Eurasian Steppe between 900 BC and 200 BC. An Indo-European people, they mastered mounted warfare, controlled vast grasslands from the Black Sea to Central Asia, and became feared by the ancient empires that bordered the steppe.

Known for animal-style gold, elaborate burials, and decorated horses, the Scythians shaped the military and cultural world of Iron Age Eurasia. Their legacy remains embedded in the archaeology of the steppe and the history of mounted warfare.
