Dee's latest project, For the Love of Metal, is a 12-track barrel of fun created primarily by Jamie Justa (Hatebreed), who coordinated the project and solicited ideas from metallers throughout the industry. As stated in a recent interview, all songs were written by third-party sources specifically for Dee and his signature vocals. With so many commercially successful 80s bands returning to the fold to release new music, Snyder gazed in the rearview mirror at the creation and performance of new music. But, under the onslaught of Justa, Snyder happily agreed to jump head-on. Justa and Snyder wanted to look at metal in general, and given Snyder's more 80s-sounding writing skills, he was happy to hand over the reign to Justa, who produced a mix of amazing songs adapted to Snyder's massive presence and vocal range.
