Apartment design Wabi-Sabi style

An apartment design of 100 square meters with three bedrooms, a dining room, a living room, and two bathrooms. This is a home designed for two generations under one roof. The owner is my friend, a young entrepreneur in the IT industry. He loves simple and natural interior design and a very low decoration budget that is almost impossible to achieve. But I am almost a perfectionist, it is difficult for me to do it casually, especially for every project design of mine. This is a big challenge, but it is not impossible to achieve. The owner gave me a lot of inspiration, which let me know that this style is very suitable for him, it is the Wabi-Sabi style.

Wabi is simple. Sabi is old. The former is the opposite of luxury, transcending the outside. The latter is the new opposite, challenging time. Wabi-sabi refers to a kind of beauty that transcends exterior and time. Not bluffing, but standing firm over time.

"With the passage of time, a thing gradually peels off its appearance and reveals its essence, and these leftover things are beautiful. The so-called aftertaste is endless. Correspondingly, many things are very beautiful and very good at first glance. But the advantage of time makes you feel that it is whitewashed and will eventually look very ugly. Think of many electronic products that have fallen out of paint. Is time a friend or an enemy of a beautiful thing? It depends on the nature of things. If At first, it is prosperous and splendid, then it will eventually be subdued by time and will be attributed to flat decline. If at first, it belongs silently to the tempering and impermanent nature of time, then things will stand with time. And wabi-sabi refers to this essence."
