A big congratulations to Assistant Professor Saravana Ravindran for receiving the Inauguration Grant of the MOE Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent (START) Scheme Award 2022! 🎉
Launched in 2015, START was established to encourage local academic talents to advance their scholarly pursuits and the Inauguration Grant aims to attract Singaporean academics to join our Autonomous Universities (AUs) as pretenure Assistant Professors.
An applied microeconomist with research interests in the economics of developing countries, Asst Prof Ravindran's recent research on the effectiveness of government COVID-19 policies and their consequences has received widespread press coverage in global media outlets.
