Predicting Chemo response rates??
Learn how researchers are using ORACLE to predict the success rates of chemotherapy as a treatment option for lung cancer in this Expert Speaker video. Watch the full video here https://youtu.be/hLVAKjXC9gk
About the Speakers:
Dhruva Biswas, MD, PhD
Clinician-Data Scientist, Cardiovascular Data Science (CarDS) Lab
Associate Research Scientist, Yale School of Medicine
Dr. Biswas’ work focuses on the integration of AI-driven insights into clinical practice including developing digital and molecular biomarkers to identify high-risk patients who are currently overlooked. “ORACLE can now predict survival rates in patients diagnosed at the earliest stage.” shares Dr. Biswas. “If validated in larger cohorts of patients with lung cancer, doctors could one day use ORACLE to help make informed treatment decisions, bringing lessons from cancer evolution into the clinic.” Dr. Biswas has authored publications in several peer-reviewed journals, including first author articles in Nature Medicine and Nature Cancer. His work has been featured in media outlets including The Times, the Independent, and Yahoo News. He has been recognized as ‘at the forefront of medical research’ by Nature Medicine.
Liu Yun-Hsin
Bioinformatics Research Assistant
UCL Cancer Institute
Ms. Yun-Hsin’s research interest in understanding intratumour heterogeneity and the evolutionary nature of tumours with a focus in identifying and validating a new biomarker for lung cancer which aims at accurately stratifying patients by their outcomes and guiding chemotherapies. “By integrating computational methods, I wish to bridge the gap between biomarker discovery and clinical application, facilitating the translational oncology.” shares Yun-Hsin.
