Spain’s Princess Leonor, heir to the Spanish throne, completed her first solo flight during her military training at San Javier base, Murcia, on December 18, 2025.

The 20-year-old princess flew a Pilatus PC-21 after completing four months of intensive training with her instructor and flight simulator. Leonor previously trained at Zaragoza Military Academy, sailed the Juan Sebastian de Elcano, and finished her studies at the General Air Academy, following a rigorous program that mirrors her father’s military training in the 1980s.
